Our Story
Founded by two sisters with a shared love of reading, storytelling, and community service, TWL began with a simple belief: everyone deserves access to a good book.Today, our priority is children. We collect and re-home previously-loved children's books, giving them away completely free of charge so more children can experience the joy of having books of their own.While children are at the heart of our work, we believe the transformative power of reading has no age limit. We are beginning to expand our reach through partnerships with local senior centers.
Our Mission
To create a welcoming, inclusive environment for readers; make books more accessible; and promote literacy and a love for storytelling.
Books can inspire imagination, encourage learning, spark conversations,
provide comfort, and open doors to new worlds. Our goal is to remove barriers
between people and the books they want and need.

To create a world where every individual has access to the transformative
power of reading.
We know that building a world like that takes more than books alone. It takes communities coming together to make reading accessible, meaningful, and joyful.
That's why we actively seek partnerships with schools, nonprofits, businesses, community organizations, and others who share our belief in the power of books.
